Flying Cars
This is the companion post to the the "Weekend + Away From Computer = Lack of Blogage" post. I hope all of your watch Kevin Smiths short entitled "The Flying Car". This brought to mind a IBM commercial from about a year ago staring no other than Avery Brooks (who you might remember as Captain Sisko from Star Trek: Deep Space 9). I found a wav file of my favorite lines from this commercial which can be listened to here. I love this rant. He sounds so very very angry that there are no flying cars. Make me giggle.
Getting to Know People
You know what one of the nicest thing about reading other peoples blogs is? Getting to know them from their experiences and feelings. It is even better when you read a friends blog. I've known Matt (aka Smoosh) since Grade 9, so for about 13 years. Everytime I read his blog I learn a little bit more about him. For example today I learn all about his experience working for the Circus. It's not that I didn't care about what he was doing during that time. It's just that I never asked. I guess that makes me a bad friend. Oh well.
Random Useless Facts
If you know me in the offline world you know that my brain is filled with a lot of useless information. If you ever get the chance to watch Jeopardy with me you'll quickly get annoyed with me shouting out the answers. I've also been told by one friend that I would be the "friend" he would call for help if he was ever on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. If you are one of those people that enjoys knowing lots of small tidbits and dumb facts you can satisfy your lust for knowledge at the Fact Monster. it is a children oriented site produced by the Learning Network crammed with interesting facts. It might be a little US facts heavy but it is a US site, so you have to expect that.
Warning: You will encounter a few pop-ups throught your exploration of this site but they are relatively harmless. Maybe a little annoying but nothing horrible.
Dreams Dictionary
I've been having weird dreams lately. I know I had several last week but the only one I really remember is that my brother and his girlfriend ended up having a baby. I was happy but it was kind of weird since they aren't married and haven't even talked about getting married.
Last night I dreamed that a weblogger ran away from home and came to live with my family. I don't know this weblogger and I chatted with her once in the Quack-O-Matic on Weblog Wannabe. I read her blog but that is about it. I don't remember why she ran away and why she ended up coming to my parents house. Very very weird. It was also weird because I think I fell in love with her during the dream.
I was searching around to find out what some of these dreams meant and stumbled across a couple of Dream Dictionaries. They didn't seem to help me much so I still don't know what my dreams mean. Oh well. I guess their means will remain a secret.
