Very Bad News
In previous posts I've talked about being a TA (teaching assistant) during the school year. I've always done one of two courses: either Intro to Materials part 1 or Intro to Materials part 2. In these courses our duties as the TA is to take the students through the various labs that are performed throughout the year and because of this interacting with the students we get to know each other quite well.
Last night two students in the class I TAed this term were killed in a car accident. I don't know the details and I don't even know which two students it was. I've been trying to find out more information but none of the news sources have released the names. I feel awful.
Friday - Dieday
So once again there will be no updates this weekend (at least on Saturday). I am going home again because there is a bunch of crap going on with one of my housemates that I just don't feel like dealing with right now so I am leaving this town for the weekend. Maybe next week I will tell you all about it but right now I would rather keep it to myself.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and I will blog next week.
Friday Five - April 19, 2002
I'm a little late on this weeks Friday Five. Actually I completely forgot about it until I read someone else answering them. Enjoy:
1. What's your favorite TV show and why?
My favorite TV show would have to be the Simpsons. My reasoning is even when it is a bad episode I still get a half dozen laughs out of it. I've been watching them since the days of the Tracey Ullman show. Buffy the Vampire Slayer comes in a close second.
2. Who is your favorite television star?
I would have to say Alyson Hannigan because she is just so darn cute!
3. What was your favorite TV show as a child?
Tough one. When I was young I use to watch a lot of TV. I guess Alf was one of my favorites when I was younger but if I watch it now I wonder what the heck I was thinking. It's horrible!
4. What show do you think should have been cancelled by now?
Gene Rodenbury's Andromeda, Mutant X, Paradise Falls (on Showcase in Canada). All very very bad shows!
5. What new show do you hope escapes the axe this season?
There are two that I hope escape the ax. Andy Richter Controls the Universe and Greg the Bunny. Both are on Fox and both are fantastically funny :) In the words of Tardy the Turtle "wheeeeze!".
