Friday Five - May 23, 2002
I haven't done the Friday Five in a couple of weeks, not because I didn't want to just because they wasn't any (plus I was away last Friday).
1. What's the last vivid dream that you remember having?
I know I've had a couple pretty vivid dreams but unless I write them down I don't remember them very long. I guess since I wrote this one down it would have to be my last vivid dream.
2. Do you have any recurring dreams?
Nope never been that lucky.
3. What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had?
I think I told Firda about this one. I was sleeping in the basement at my parents place (where I don't usually sleep). I dreamt that a ghost kept on popping out from behind our wood stove but when I turned to look at it the ghost would hide behind the stove again. I woke up and was completely freaked out. I couldn't sleep and was really scared. To get back to sleep I made up an ending to the dream. The ending I made up was that one of my friends was dressed up as a ghost and playing a trick on me. After I made up the ending I was okay and could get to sleep. It's weird how your mind works.
4. Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it? Why or why not?
I occasionally do. Usually if it is a vivid dream and remember it for a while after I wake up I will write it down. If not it is done forever. No big deal :)
5. Have you ever had a lucid dream? What did you do in it?
I don't think I've ever been able to control what happened to me in my dreams. Never really tried though.
Thesis Writing
It's not that I don't love you all, it's just that I have very little to say right now. I've been sitting around working on my thesis for the past couple of days. It's slow going. I'm averaging about 1-1/2 to 2 pages a day which really sucks. I have to start getting motivated and figuring out exactly how to structure this thing. If anyone out their knows a lot about lead-free solders, differential scanning calorimetry and mass balance equations and would like to write my thesis by all means contact me. :)
I would never actually get someone to write my thesis for me. I just wish everything would fall into place and be nice and neat. One chapter is more or less complete in rough form. Only 90 or so more pages to go. I rather dislike writing my thesis. It can only get better from here. Can't it?
