Anti-Canadianism
I'm mad at Americans right now. Not all of them, just the jerks. Yesterday the U.S. Ambassador to Canada had to gall to say "There is no security threat to Canada that the United States would not be ready, willing and able to help with. There would be no debate. There would be no hesitation. We would be there for Canada — part of our family. And that is why so many in the United States are so disappointed and upset that Canada is not fully supporting us now"
It seems that Mr. Cellucci has forgotten the outpouring of support by Canadians during the 9-11 tragedy and the fact that our Canadian forces were and still are over in Afghanistan fighting with the Americans.
I heard someone make a point about these comments on a radio show this morning. This lady said "the Americans claim they are fighting for democracy in Iraq but when a democratic nation like Canada uses it's freedom to say that we don't want to get involved in this war the Americans slander us for not fully supporting them.". Apparently the American government only believes in democracy if it benefits them, the rest of the time they play the part of the bully trying to impose their will upon other contries. Makes you think doesn't it?
