After having temperatures that were in the double digits last week it is currently snowing in Waterloo. Stupid Canadian weather!
New Week: Tired and Sick
I'm tired and I'm sick. I think I started getting sick on Friday but it didn't really kick in until yesterday. It's not a horrible cold since I don't have a sore throat (which to me is one of the worse things that could happen when you have a cold - apart from vomitting). I'm at home today since even though I don't feel too bad I don't feel like making people at school sick.
So the weekend was good none the less. The concert was pretty good. Here is my mini concert review "There were two opening bands. The first band was called the "lullabye arkestra". Three words can describe this band "too much screaming" but it's not like Bjork screaming (which I like) it was annoying screaming. The second opening band were three guys playing with feedback and loops called "black dice". I don't need three words to describe them I can use one "painful". They used a lot of very loud, very high pitched feedback like noises which were just annoying. As you can probably tell I wasn't too impressed with the opening bands. They had their interesting moments but in general they weren't very good. Thank god for Godspeed You Black Emperor who saved the whole night. They were amazing. They were loud at times but it was a controlled loudness (unlike the opening bands). It was a long concert but it was well worth it."
The rest of the weekend I stayed with friends in Toronto. We did a little bit of shopping on Saturday and we watched a bunch of movies over the weekend. It's nice to be home and be able to sleep in my own bed. Now I'm going to lay down and rest for a while.
