Free Couches from Accidents

Remember three months back when I told a story about my brother's fiancee getting in a car accident involving a couch?
They never did find the person who lost the couch and caused the accident. The good thing out of the whole thing is that my brother and his fiancee got to keep the couch that was involved in the accident. I don't know why they were entitled to the couch but the police were nice enough to give it to them after the investigation was finished. I haven't seen it yet but I've been told the only thing wrecked on it was one of the feet so they took all of them off. Besides a free couch is a free couch.
I'm just glad something good case out of all this.
