Haiku - Syllables (Day 14)

When writing haikus
It is very important
To count with fingers
Syllables! That's what I deal with everyday when coming up with the haikus. I find that I'm playing with syllables throughout the day as well. My brain will start trying to break phrases and thoughts into the five-seven-five sequence. I'm not obsessed though - except on the weekend when I wake up at 7:00 and start composing.
